Joseph Owens will present stories and discussions about racing which should appeal to all levels of sailing experience. Title: “**Two Kinds of Boats**” A view from the Race and Protest Committee, sorting out the confusion. Plus a few real-world illustrations from recent regattas Joe is officially rated as a Club Racing Officer and Club Judge at RYVC and on his way to becoming a Regional Race Officer. **Additional resources**:. How to access World Sailing — sailing.org/racing rules — with links to definitive documents, the Rule Book, the Case Book and commercial publications; examples: “Elvstrøm Explains the Racing Rules” and “The Racing Rules in Practice’” Bryan Willis. At the Bent Mast we have a room reserved for "turkeys" at the top of the stairs at the front of the building. Self serve at the bar for drinks and order food on the ground floor.
