**💃 BRAZILIAN ZOUK — 6-WEEK SERIES 🕺** **Presented by the Victoria Latin Dance Association** **Brazilian Zouk is coming to Victoria! Join instructors Adrian Wilson & Nicki Pepper for a six-week progressive series featuring two levels of instruction and a Social Hour every Sunday evening.** **No partner is required!** **✨ WHAT IS BRAZILIAN ZOUK?** **Brazilian Zouk is a social partner dance that developed in Brazil in the 1990s, growing from Lambada and evolving alongside Zouk music.** **It’s known for its flowing connection between partners, fluid movement, elasticity and musicality. Rather than simply following a fixed step pattern, partners learn to interpret the music together, creating a dance that can feel different with every partner and every song.** **Today, Brazilian Zouk is danced around the world to a wide variety of music, including traditional Zouk, contemporary pop and R&B remixes.** **📅 DATES** **Six Sundays:** **November 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29** **December 6, 2026** **📍 LOCATION** **Wild Roots Dance & Yoga** **734 Aldebury St, Victoria, BC** **⏰ SCHEDULE** **5:30–6:40 PM — Level 1** **Zouk fundamentals for newcomers** **6:40–6:50 PM — Break** **6:50–8:00 PM — Level 2** **Deeper technique and flow for dancers with Zouk or extensive partner-dance experience** **8:00–9:00 PM — Social Hour** **Included at no additional cost for everyone registered in the series.** **🌟 LEVEL 1 — ZOUK FUNDAMENTALS** **Build your Brazilian Zouk foundation from the ground up, including posture, partner connection, basic steps and the elasticity that gives Zouk its signature stretch-and-release feeling.** **You’ll also begin working with turns for both roles and learn how to connect your foundations into sequences you can use on the social dance floor.** **🔥 LEVEL 2 — DEEPER TECHNIQUE & FLOW** **Deepen your connection and elasticity while developing musicality, more advanced turn patterns and combinations, styling, and dynamic movement for both roles.** **Level 2 is intended for dancers with a solid understanding of fundamental lead-and-follow mechanics and the ability to transition comfortably between basic Zouk figures.** **💰 PRICING** **One Level — 6 Weeks** **Early Bird: $135 if registered by October 11** **Regular: $150** **Both Levels — 6 Weeks** **Early Bird: $200 if registered by October 11** **Regular: $225** **Social Hour Only** **FREE for series registrants** **$10 for everyone else** **🎟️ REGISTRATION** **Registration and payment are completed online through Square.** **Spots are limited and registration will be tracked separately for leads and follows to help keep the classes balanced.** **Register here:** **https://square.link/u/EkuSbOC7** **💡 GOOD TO KNOW** **• No partner is required for either level. Come solo or with a partner — partners will rotate during class.** **• Level 1 is open to everyone.** **• Level 2 is suitable for dancers with a solid understanding of fundamental lead-and-follow mechanics and the ability to transition comfortably between basic Zouk figures.** **• Wear comfortable clothing and shoes with smooth soles that won’t grip the floor.** **• The Social Hour is included at no additional cost for everyone registered in the series.** **📌 CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & TRANSFERS** **All registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend or are no longer able to participate in the series for any reason, refunds will not be provided.** **However, you may transfer your remaining registration to another person at the appropriate class level.
