About

The Sooke Region Museum presents The Great Gourd Showdown, a fall fair competition where participants bring their gourds, squashes, and pumpkins to see who has grown the largest and heaviest. This event is held in partnership with the Sooke Fall Fair.

After dropping off your gourds, you can explore the Museum grounds and peek into the buildings. Concessions will be available in the events pavilion. Guests will enjoy their meals on real plates with real cutlery to reduce waste.

Come in costume and participate in the parade. This event offers a haunting good time for all who dare to join.
