Cozy up by candlelight, settle into stillness, and let yourself be held by sound. This Yin Yoga practice combines long-held, floor-based postures with the immersive sounds of crystal singing bowls, mantra, gongs, and chimes. Yin Yoga invites us to slow down and stay awhile, using props for support as we settle into each shape for several minutes at a time. In the stillness, we have an opportunity to notice sensation, breath, thoughts, and all the other things that tend to get drowned out when we’re busy doing everything else. As you settle into each posture, the sounds of the bowls, gongs, and chimes will weave through the practice, creating an otherworldly, deeply restful atmosphere that invites you to turn your attention inward.
