About

Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park offers a wide range of outdoor activities across its two conjoined lakes and extensive trail system. Visitors can enjoy four family-friendly beaches, picnic grounds, and 15 kilometers of walking trails, including a 10-kilometer loop.

The park features multi-use trails for hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders, as well as trails reserved for hiking only. An accessible fishing dock is available on Elk Lake, which is stocked with Rainbow Trout. The Nature Centre provides interpretive displays and information about the park's natural and cultural history.

The park provides diverse settings from shallow, sandy beaches ideal for swimming and picnicking to tranquil woodland trails. Specific areas like Beaver Beach, the old Filter Beds, Eagle Beach, and Hamsterly Beach each offer unique recreational opportunities, from canoeing and cycling to windsurfing and rowing.
