Written and produced by rural queer artists, Moonrise, the mythic rock opera, is a creative retelling of old Celtic stories about returning power to the Earth and the Goddess. With an original music score, poetic storytelling, masks, shadow puppetry and audience participation, this hilarious and heart-felt story is sure to awaken your imagination. In this enchanted modern day adventure, the insidious Emperor has trapped the Earth in darkness. With the help of magical allies, the child of the Earth, Weaver, sets out to reveal the truth of the past and restore the balance within and without. A modern day telling of the deep yearning for collective ecological healing and a return to Earth.
