The concert opens with Canadian composer Samy Moussa’s Elysium , a luminous vision of reward and renewal. Bartók’s masterful Concerto for Orchestra, written in exile yet brimming with vitality and hope, concludes the afternoon and continues the VS’s exploration of the composer’s bold, transformative orchestral works.
