About

The Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra presents "Celebrating Youth" at the Sooke Community Hall. This concert features a program of classical works, including Rossini's lively overture from The Barber of Seville.

The event showcases the talents of Madison Brecht, winner of the 2026 Jenny & Norman Nelson Concerto Competition, performing Chopin's romantic Piano Concerto No. 2. The orchestra, led by conductor Yariv Aloni, will also perform Grieg's tuneful folk dances.

Enjoy an afternoon of classical music in a community setting, highlighting both established compositions and emerging talent.
