About

ArtSpring presents "WATER WORDS," a colorful, flowing, and thought-provoking experience that engages both children and adults. This performance invites the audience to reflect on how water shapes lives, communities, and identities.

Developed over three years in Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Canada, "WATER WORDS" seamlessly blends spoken word, puppetry, and object theater with live music. Burkinabe multi-instrumentalist Dramane Dembélé provides the live musical accompaniment.

The show explores the scarcity and abundance of water and its impact on lives in both Western Africa and Canada. Directed and written by Hélène Ducharme and Mawby Mawine, this story offers fresh perspectives on what sustains us all.
