About

Filmmaker Josef Kubota Wladyka presents "Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty!", a film starring Rinko Kikuchi as Tokyo ballroom dancer Haru. Haru is happily in love with her husband and dance partner, Luis, who shares her passion for the cha-cha and rumba.

However, life takes an unexpected turn when a new dance instructor, played by Alberto Guerra, seeks Haru's attention. The film aims to confound and delight with a surreal story of empathy and energy.

Expect shimmering hues, clever dance moves, and unique elements like a giant black crow assisting with grieving, all contributing to a sensation of wonderful madness. The film is a surprising, joy-filled crowdpleaser with a standout performance from Kikuchi.
