Broke and Blue at Musical Melange

Broke and Blue, featuring pianist Kathryn Le Gros and flutist Diane Berry, performs jazz classical fusion. They discovered a mutual love for the music of French jazz pianist Claude Bolling, whose fusion of classical and jazz elements provides a rich selection of music for their performances.

These classically trained musicians are experienced performers connected to many ensembles in and around Victoria. They embrace a variety of genres and styles, often joined by bassist Ryan Tandy and local drummers to achieve a full jazz sound.

Their repertoire includes music by Moe Koffman, Dave Brubeck, Ian Clarke, well-known jazz standards, and classical music arranged for their jazz configuration. This concert will also feature some eerie music for Halloween.
