The Salt Path

Experience "The Salt Path," an impressive and intelligent drama adapted from Raynor Winn’s memoir. The film follows Raynor and her husband, Moth, as they embark on a journey walking the South West Coast Path from Somerset to Dorset. Their walk is not for pleasure, but out of necessity, as they have lost their farm and have nowhere else to go.

Directed by theatre director Marianne Elliott, the film stars Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs. Both actors deliver lovely, emotional, and low-key performances, bringing depth to the characters' challenging circumstances.

The screenplay by Rebecca Lenkiewicz has been praised for its muscularity and structural rejig, creating a powerful cinematic experience. The film includes a particularly suspenseful scene involving a bank card and a cash machine, highlighting the couple's precarious situation.
