About

Experience "Winter of the Crow," a smart Cold War thriller directed by Polish filmmaker Kasia Adamik. The film stars Academy Award nominee Lesley Manville as Professor Joan Andrews, a British psychiatry professor who arrives in Warsaw in the mid-80s.

Professor Andrews finds herself in a politically oppressed Poland, struggling to comprehend the dire circumstances of the people around her. Her host, Alina, a university student played by Zofia Wichlacz, is also a key figure in the resistance movement against communism.

Inspired by a short story from Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk, this film is a thrilling cat-and-mouse game. It is set at the beginning of Poland's Martial Law era in 1981, portraying an ordinary woman caught in an extraordinary situation.
