RAAGAVERSE – Indo-Jazz Fusion with Shruti Ramani

Raagaverse, led by vocalist Shruti Ramani, presents an Indo-Jazz fusion performance. This creative band pays homage to classical Hindustani music and Jazz, blending these two historical and culturally significant genres.

Shruti Ramani brings her expertise in Hindustani music, honed through rigorous training in Mumbai, India, and her studies in Jazz from Capilano University. She combines traditional Hindustani nuances with modern Jazz harmonies and rhythms in her original compositions.

She is joined by Noah Franche-Nolan on piano and keyboard, James Meger on bass, and Trent Otter on drums. Each musician contributes their diverse experience and musicality, creating a cohesive sound that is dynamic and expressive.

Expect energetic and enthralling music that respectfully merges the authenticity of both traditions into a beautiful and deep musical experience.
